In a vigorous competitive American city, MUSIC is good business! The ability of the arts to thrive in any community has always been an indicator of economic health and vitality. Chattanooga is fortunate to have a first-class Symphony Orchestra. The CSO is typical of all American orchestras; ticket sales alone cannot and do not fully support our mission. As a not-for-profit organization, we must now turn our attention to paying the piper – and the bassoon player and the Concertmaster and all the musicians who make this endeavor a success.
